Utility pricing graphic with diagram

811 STOPS AT THE METER. WE START THERE.

The free one-call service marks public lines up to your meter. Everything past it, the lines to your barn, well, shop, pasture troughs and septic, is on you. A private locate finds those lines before the dozer, post-hole auger or trencher does.

811 one-call

Public utility lines, up to the meter. Call before every dig, every time.

Private locate (that's us)

Electric, gas, water, sewer, irrigation and communication lines on your side of the meter, found and marked on the ground.

HOW A LOCATE WORKS

1

TELL US THE JOB

Send the address and what you're digging. You get a price before anything is scheduled.

2

WE TRACE AND MARK

On site we trace lines with electromagnetic locating equipment and mark each one with paint and flags in the standard utility colors.

3

DIG WITH CONFIDENCE

Walk the marks with us. Want them on a map? Add a GPS-mapped file of every line we found.

WHAT A LOCATE COSTS

$249 – $450

WHAT MOVES THE PRICE
  • Size of the area and how many lines you need traced

  • Access to jobsite (open pasture vs. slab, obstructions or brush)

Most private locates. You approve the price first.

  • Travel time

  • Optional GPS-mapped file of the results

READ THE PAINT

Locators use one nationwide color code, so the marks on your ground mean the same thing to any crew.
